Oman Air goes daily with flights to Kathmandu

Date 2011: Just over a year after expanding its network of destinations to include Kathmandu in Nepal, Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, has announced it is increasing its services to offer a daily flight between the capital of Oman, Muscat and Kathmandu, Nepal.

Kathmandu has proved to be a highly popular destination and the airline has responded by offering a daily service that will begin in October: operated with B737-700 aircraft, which offers Business and Economy Class cabins.

Abdulrazaq bin Juma Al Raisi, Chief Commercial Officer of Oman Air, commented:

“We are delighted to be able to introduce even more flights to Nepal, which is one of the most beautiful destinations in the world.

“Both the corporate and leisure traffic between Oman and Nepal has grown considerably, since we first introduced the service in September 2010, and we are pleased to be able to offer more flights in response to this demand.”

These timings will offer useful connections to other destinations such as Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Dubai in the UAE, as well as to a range of other GCC and European destinations.

Flying to more than 40 exciting destinations across the Middle East, Europe, South Asia, South East Asia and East Africa, the airline’s inflight products and services are attracting an ever-growing number of accolades, including the World’s Best Business Class Seat, at the World Airline Awards 2011.

Offering spacious seating, delicious food, and the very latest inflight entertainment; Oman Air’s pioneering inflight mobile phone and wi-fi connectivity is also available throughout the airline’s Airbus A330 fleet, enabling you to make voice calls, send text messages, check emails, surf the internet or update your social media.
